Caucasus: Speculative Futures
This project is based on traditional Caucasian ornaments, combined with photographs taken by me and my friends, and reworked through AI-generated speculative imagery. It explores how the Caucasus might preserve its cultural identity in an unpredictable future, blending real visual heritage with imagined scenarios of what this identity could become.

Makhachkala is more than a mark on the map. It’s a vibrant, warm, restless city on the shores of the Caspian Sea. This is Dagestan — energetic, diverse, and alive.

These symbols reinterpret traditional Dagestani ornaments through a contemporary graphic language. Some elements were preserved in their original form, while others were redesigned to fit a modern identity system.
